Our focus on sustainable purchasing, recycling, resource conservation and waste reduction helps us operate more efficiently. Our wellness and sustainability platform is integrated into all menus, promotions, programs, brands and concepts. Our registered dietitians collaborate with our chefs to create a food environment that encourages well-being and drives positive lifestyle behaviors through engaging in marketplace events. They work together to create delicious, sustainable and health-promoting recipes that, when paired with your employee and guest insights, form the backbone of our trendy and exciting menus.

Through our program, Food with Purpose, we educate and engage our guests, helping them to make choices for a healthier lifestyle that benefits them and the planet.

Our Ingredients and Menus

We pride ourselves on being a company of firsts. We were the first foodservice company, in 2007, to commit to a cage-free egg policy and have been partnered with Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program since 2005. By partnering with Eurest, you can be guaranteed the ingredients we source follow responsible sourcing criteria and are tracked for your visibility.

We source proteins from suppliers that promote the humane welfare of farm animals.

Our eggs are cage-free.

We source foods produced with minimal use of – or free from – chemicals and antibiotics, including milk, yogurt and poultry.

Our milk and yogurt are free from recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH).

Eurest aligns our seafood purchases with recommendations set by Seafood Watch.

We serve sustainably sourced coffee that meets the following criteria: Fair Trade, Certified Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and Bird Friendly, and accepted verifications are Coffee and Farmer Equity (C.A.F.E) Practices and Enveritas.

We source green cleaning products.

Support of your health and wellness initiatives will go beyond our internal programs. We have extensive experience collaborating with our clients’ fitness centers and health services vendors to create comprehensive strategies.

Health-Forward Programs

FIT Program

We have a proven healthy food program called FIT, which reflects our serious commitment to providing our customers with food choices and education to make informed decisions about health and nutrition. The program is based on the principles of moderation and variety. The criteria were established using the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, scientific committee recommendations and more recent recommendations from the Institute of Medicine, American Heart Association and other notable science-based groups. Our criteria are reviewed annually to make sure they are up to date and reflect the most current scientific recommendations.

Monthly Wellness Promotions

We have created an annual promotions calendar focusing on national health observances such as Heart Month and National Nutrition Month, as well as healthy seasonal eating. Each promotion includes menu ideas, customer education and marketing collateral – even activities created by our registered dietitians. Eurest’s Wellness Calendar is entirely customizable and can easily coordinate with internal health observances or be modified to work with fitness centers or health services promotions.

MenuWorks

Nutrition analysis is available for all items through Eurest’s proprietary menu management program, MenuWorks. Through MenuWorks, we have a robust database of recipes, updated weekly and tested by our full-time chefs dedicated to ensuring accuracy and variety on every menu. MenuWorks recipes provide our chefs with accurate costing as well – using recipes can help control food waste and maintain proper food cost.
